Its rums are aged up to eight years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then up to six years in Spanish sherry casks.

The name commemorates the year Andrés Brugal Montaner founded Brugal, and the rum was released in 2010 as the house's first double-aged expression. Vanilla, red fruit and cocoa shape the nose. The palate recalls sherry-soaked dates, toffee and oak spice, and the finish closes on oak spice and cocoa.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL).
