Newman Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge in Yuma, Arizona.

Davidoff introduced Yamasá at the IPCPR trade show in July 2016 as part of its Black Band Collection. The shade-grown wrapper and the San Vicente-seed binder both come from the Yamasá region of the Dominican Republic, red-soil country that Davidoff says took some 20 years of cultivation to master, and the filler combines Dominican Piloto and Mejorado leaf with Nicaraguan tobacco from Condega and Estelí. The Piramides is tapered to a point at the head and is the longest smoke in the line by Davidoff's timing, 60 to 80 minutes.

Size: 6⅛ x 52

Shape: Piramides

Wrapper: Dominican Yamasá, shade-grown

Binder: Dominican San Vicente seed, grown in Yamasá

Filler: Dominican Piloto and Mejorado; Nicaraguan Condega and Estelí

Origin: Dominican Republic, Cigars Davidoff

Strength: Intensity 4.5 of 5, body 5 of 5 (maker's rating)

Packaging: Single, 5-pack or box of 12

Tasting notes

Davidoff lists spice, orange, earth, leather, wood, nuts, pepper and coffee for the Piramides.
