The single malt, which carries no age statement, matures in refill and ex-bourbon American oak before a finish in Italian casks that held Ramandolo white wine and Sangiovese red wine. It is bottled at natural cask strength, 57.5% ABV (115 proof).

The nose is mild, gentle and dry, with a deeply exotic edge. On the palate it is smooth and creamy, lightly sweet and fruity before spice and pepper build. The finish is medium-long and dry, with warm spice, fruity acidity and white pepper.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL).
