The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero 654 Maduro doubles the ligero found in most blends, using sun-grown leaf from Litto Gomez's La Canela estate for both binder and filler beneath a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra maduro wrapper. Made in the Dominican Republic, it is unapologetically full-bodied: dense and chewy with espresso bean, earth and black pepper over an undercurrent of black cherry and anise.
This is a cigar for the experienced palate and a full stomach. At Sun of a Gun it holds its own against a cask-strength bourbon, an Islay Scotch or a black coffee. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 20.
