Ardbeg Anamorphic Scotch Whisky is a limited Committee Release from Ardbeg Distillery on Islay, bottled without an age statement or chill filtration at 48.2% ABV (96.4 proof).

The whisky was built around four dimensions of flavor: sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy. Part of the recipe comes from 'High Mocha' casks, whose heads were deeply scored and heated with infrared before receiving an unusually intense char.

Earthy, biscuity notes of soot, tar, vanilla, smoked vetiver, aniseed and jasmine lead to a peppery palate of chili chocolate, bittersweet mocha and birch tar. The long finish turns to tropical fruit, heather, warm toffee and smoked butter.
