Basil Hayden Dark Rye Whiskey

Basil Hayden Dark Rye Whiskey is built in three layers: Kentucky rye, Canadian rye from the brand's Alberta Distillery, and a touch of Port. It is bottled at 80 proof, and the brand describes a deep amber color with ruby undertones.

The Kentucky rye brings spice, oak, dried fruit and a subtle note of molasses to the blend. Oak, dark berries and molasses open the nose; the palate is rounded, with caramel, dried fruit, oak and spice, and the finish lingers on dried fruit, light sweetness and rye spice.
