Campari
Campari is an Italian red bitter, created in Milan in 1860 by Gaspare Campari and made, the house says, to a recipe that has stayed unaltered ever since. For the United States it is bottled at 24% ABV (48 proof).
The company's history marks 1904 as a turning point, when production moved to a new plant in Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan. In the glass, Campari is a vibrant red bitter, with herbs and spices drawn through its bitterness: an aperitivo in the Italian manner.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
