Don Pepin Garcia Original Generosos is the blue-label cigar that made Pepín García's name after his arrival in Miami. Made with all-Nicaraguan tobacco under an extra-oily, cinnamon-colored Habano rosado wrapper, the 6 inch by 50 toro is full-bodied in the Cuban manner, with zesty leather and cedar, a medley of hot peppers, toasted bread and candied nuts that mellow into cocoa. The line earned 93 points and a Top 25 placing from Cigar Aficionado.
For the Sun of a Gun regular who wants the classic Pepín pepper, the Generosos is the benchmark toro. It stands up to a bourbon, a dark rum or an Islay Scotch from the bar and pairs happily with espresso. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 20.
