Fonseca Siroco Extra Dry White Port
Fonseca Siroco Extra Dry White Port is a dry-style white Port from Fonseca, made in the Douro Valley from Malvasia Fina and Malvasia Rei. White Port ferments longer than red before brandy is added, which leaves less residual sugar. Siroco is fermented half on the skins and half off, then matured for four years in large neutral oak vats.
Fonseca's importer describes a pale straw gold wine that is lightly sweet, with vibrant acidity and a round, velvety texture, and white fruit aromas and flavors offset by light oak notes. It is customarily served chilled as an aperitif, on the rocks or with tonic.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass and offer it by the bottle. Our cellar changes as bottles are opened and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
