Horse Soldier Bourbon is a four-year-old straight bourbon from American Freedom Distillery, bottled at 87 proof (43.5% ABV). It is the Premium expression of the Horse Soldier line, marked by a copper medallion.

The name honors the Green Beret Horse Soldiers who rode into Afghanistan after 9/11, and the team behind the brand began its journey in 2015. Made in small batches and bottled without chill filtering, it opens with toffee, sweet corn and apple. Vanilla, toasted corn and honey follow on the palate, leading to a full-bodied, decadent finish.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
