Jägermeister

Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur from Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony, bottled at 35% ABV (70 proof). It is the work of the Mast family: Curt Mast took his father Wilhelm's vinegar factory and wine shop in a new direction, toward liqueur.

He spent several years refining the recipe, which brings together 56 herbs, roots and spices. The liqueur is then matured for a long time in German oak barrels. On the nose it is herbal, with spice and citrus; the palate is balanced and bittersweet, with a herbal character.
