Jefferson's Tropics Bourbon begins as fully mature Kentucky straight bourbon, which Jefferson's and Master Blender Trey Zoeller then send to Singapore for a further 18 months of aging in equatorial humidity. It is bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV).

In July 2019, 720 barrels left for Singapore in nine containers. There they rested in warehouses without climate control, where humidity averaged 83.9%. The nose is warm with cinnamon, clove and baking spice. Bing cherry and toffee follow on the palate with a hint of sea salt, and the finish is long, textured and full-bodied.
