La Gloria Cubana Serie R Black No. 52 is a 6 1/2 by 52 box-pressed toro and a Nicaraguan puro. An audacious Jalapa ligero wrapper, fermented a full year and aged two and a half, covers a Jalapa binder and Jalapa and Estelí filler. Full in strength, it delivers pepper, earth, coffee and cedar with cream, honey and spice.
Serie R Black is the strongest La Gloria in the Sun of a Gun humidor, and the press gives the No. 52 a soft draw and a clean ash. The maker suggests a single malt Scotch or a Syrah from the bar. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 18.
