LALO Blanco Tequila
LALO Blanco Tequila is an unaged tequila blanco produced under NOM 1468 in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, made from fully mature Blue Weber agave and bottled at 40% ABV. The brand takes its name from co-founder Eduardo González, known as Lalo, grandson of Don Julio González.
The recipe holds to three ingredients: mature agave, Champagne yeast and deep-well water. The agave is cooked in brick ovens and distilled only twice. Cooked agave, florals, bright citrus and white pepper rise on the nose, followed by a clean palate of agave sweetness, lemon zest, herbs and a mineral edge. The finish is crisp, with a subtle return of white pepper and a lingering sweetness.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
