Macanudo Emissary España Toro is a 6 by 52 toro built around Havana-seed tobacco grown near Riolobos, Spain, and aged ten years. A five-year-aged US Broadleaf Claro wrapper covers a six-year-aged Nicaraguan Condega binder and filler of Dominican Piloto, Colombian, Nicaraguan ASP and the Spanish leaf. Made in Honduras, it is medium in body with toasted cedar, almonds and caramel, roasted nuts, espresso and white pepper.
Emissary España is a curiosity for the collector and a serious cigar for anyone, with the aged Spanish leaf lending a rounded, savory sweetness. Macanudo suggests a single malt Scotch, an espresso or a cognac, all found at the Sun of a Gun bar. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 16.
