Malibu Rum is a coconut liqueur made with rum rather than a full-strength rum, bottled in the US at 21% ABV (42 proof). It is made in Barbados by West Indies Rum Distillery Ltd.

Malibu was created in 1978 and has been owned by Pernod Ricard since 2005. Coconut, vanilla and tropical fruit form the nose. The palate is smooth and creamy, with sweet coconut, vanilla and a touch of rum, and the finish is light, with lingering coconut sweetness.
