Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Principe — Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits, Yuma Arizona

Padrón Cigars

Padrón has been a family business since 1964, and it keeps every step in the family's hands, from seed to smoke. The tobacco comes from Padrón's own farms in Nicaragua, is cured, fermented and aged in bales, and is rolled at the family's factory in Nicaragua before the boxes ship to tobacconists from Padrón's office in Miami's Little Havana.

About Padrón Cigars

We carry the house across six lines at Sun of a Gun Cigars in Yuma, Arizona, and most sizes are sold three ways online: a single to try it, a 5-pack, or a full box at the lowest price per cigar. Orders ship humidor-fresh from our walk-in humidor.

The six Padrón lines

  • Padrón Series — the everyday Padrón. Round, medium to full-bodied, boxes of 26.
  • 1964 Anniversary Series — box-pressed, tobacco aged four years, medium to full.
  • 1926 Serie — box-pressed, aged five years, full-bodied.
  • Family Reserve — limited milestone releases, tobacco aged ten years.
  • Padrón Black — birthday cigars for José O. Padrón: the No. 97 torpedo and the No. 99 gordo, boxes of 10.
  • Dámaso — the mild one, and the only Padrón with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper.

Common questions

What is the difference between Natural and Maduro? The blend underneath is the same. Natural is sun-grown and drier, leaning coffee, cedar and pepper. Maduro is darker and sweeter, with cocoa and espresso.

Which Padrón should a first-time smoker buy? Dámaso for mild, the Padrón Series 2000 or 4000 for an everyday medium-to-full smoke, the 1964 Exclusivo when you want the classic.

Why are Padrón cigars numbered? Each 1964, 1926, Family Reserve and Padrón Black cigar carries an individually numbered band to guard against counterfeits.

Can I buy one cigar instead of a box? Yes. Nearly every Padrón on this page comes as a single, a 5-pack or a full box; the Cigar of the Year sampler is sold as a set.

Where do they ship from? Our walk-in humidor in Yuma, Arizona, kept at smoking humidity until the day your order leaves. We ship nationwide, including California and Puerto Rico.
