The American Double Robusto measures 5 1/2 x 56, the thickest ring gauge in the line, and was added after the original sizes. It is hand-rolled in The American Room at J.C. Newman's historic El Reloj cigar factory in Tampa, Florida.
Every leaf in The American is grown in the United States. A Florida Sun Grown wrapper from Clermont covers a Connecticut broadleaf binder, with fillers of Pennsylvania tobacco and Connecticut Havana seed. The boxes, bands and other packaging components are American-made too, according to J.C. Newman.
