The Robusto is the shortest format of The American at 4 1/2 x 50. Like every cigar in the line, it is hand-rolled in The American Room at J.C. Newman's historic El Reloj cigar factory in Tampa, Florida.
The American uses only American-grown leaf. The wrapper is Florida Sun Grown tobacco from a farm in Clermont, Florida; the binder is Connecticut broadleaf from Foster Farms in Windsor, Connecticut; and the filler combines Pennsylvania tobacco with Havana-seed leaf also grown at Foster Farms. The line made its debut in 2019 with the Robusto among its original sizes.
