The American is hand-rolled in The American Room at J.C. Newman's historic El Reloj cigar factory in Tampa, Florida. The Torpedo is the line's one tapered shape, measuring 6 1/8 x 52.
The cigar is built entirely from tobacco grown in the United States: a Florida Sun Grown wrapper from Clermont, Florida, a Connecticut broadleaf binder from Windsor, Connecticut, and fillers of Pennsylvania tobacco and Connecticut-grown Havana seed. J.C. Newman has said the packaging components, including the bands, boxes and hardware, are made in America as well.
