The Liga Privada Único Serie UF-13 Dark is a robusto with a fantail cap, the cabeza colita. halfwheel reports it was a three-year project that went through several blends, sizes and names, and was reserved for events before it reached all Liga Privada accounts in March 2013, in boxes of 12 configured like Drew Estate’s Flying Pig boxes. It was the fifth Único Serie cigar sold nationally, after the Dirty Rat, L40, Feral Flying Pig and Papas Fritas.
The “Dark” refers to the high Broadleaf mediums used for its Connecticut wrapper, halfwheel reports, over a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan filler. halfwheel scored it 95 points in its March 2014 review, and Cigar Coop placed it No. 8 on its 2013 Cigar of the Year countdown, also at 95.
- Size: 5¼ x 52 per Drew Estate; halfwheel reported 5½ x 52 at release, likely because of the fantail cap
- Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Dark Mediums (halfwheel, Cigar Coop)
- Binder: Plantation-grown Brazilian Mata Fina
- Filler: Honduran and Nicaraguan
- Box: 12 cigars
- Released: March 2013 (halfwheel)
- Made at: La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate, Estelí, Nicaragua
