Sun of a Gun is a cigar lounge and walk-in humidor at 1651 S Arizona Ave in Yuma. Come in, pick a cigar off the shelf and smoke it here with a whiskey or a craft cocktail. No membership, no dress code.
The humidor
A walk-in room stocked from everyday smokes to allocated boxes: Opus X, Lost City, Añejo, God of Fire, Padrón, Liga Privada and more. We are a Diamond Crown Lounge, a designation J.C. Newman gives to a short list of shops.
The bar
A 300-bottle spirits menu, more than 170 of them whiskey, plus craft cocktails, wine and beer. Ask what is open — some allocated bottles never make a printed list. Allocated bottles go first to the VIP Bottle List.
What to expect

Cigar lounge etiquette
First time in a cigar lounge? There is less to it than people expect. Ours has no membership and no dress code, and you are welcome to walk in any time we are open. What follows is the general courtesy that applies in most cigar shops, drawn from Tobacconist University's shop etiquette guide and Cigar Aficionado's lounge etiquette primer.
- Smoke in the lounge, not the humidor. Tobacconist University asks customers not to smoke inside a walk-in humidor, so the natural aromas of the tobacco and cedar stay as they are.
- Handle cigars gently. Lift them from the box with care for the head, foot and wrapper, and put back what you do not take where you found it. Someone organized that shelf.
- Smell, do not touch noses. If you want to smell a cigar, Tobacconist University's advice is to keep the head away from your nose. The next person may buy it.
- Cut first, then taste. Keep the cigar out of your mouth until after you have used a shared cutter.
- Smoke what you buy here. Cigar Aficionado's primer compares a lounge to a restaurant, which does not expect guests to bring their own food: the seats are there for customers of the shop.
- Take calls outside. The same primer singles out phone calls as a common irritation in a lounge, and some shops ask guests not to use phones at all.
