Montecristo White Series

The White Series is a U.S.-market Montecristo from Altadis U.S.A., which says it "was crafted to complement the original Montecristo." Montecristo describes a hand-selected Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long fillers, with notes of toasted nuts, coffee beans, vanilla and sweet cream. Cigar Aficionado calls it a mild to medium-bodied blend, rolled at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.

About Montecristo White Series

Cigar Aficionado dates the White Series to 2003 and says it was intended as a stronger, slightly spicier alternative to the Montecristo Classic Series; Cigar Insider rated the Toro and the Rothchilde in January 2004. Montecristo's own timeline lists the White Series debut in 2007. Cigar Aficionado reported a 6 x 52 Diadema added in 2025. The White Vintage Connecticut, from 2015, is a different blend with a Connecticut Shade wrapper.

What to pour with Montecristo White

Montecristo publishes no pairing, so this is our house suggestion: a mild to medium cigar under a Connecticut Shade wrapper sits well beside a smooth Irish whiskey, a light Speyside single malt or a glass of Champagne. More in the cigar and whiskey pairing guide.
