San Cristobal Revelation

San Cristobal began in 2007 as Ashton's first Nicaraguan cigar, made for Ashton Distributors by Don Pepín García, and Revelation joined it at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas in July 2013. halfwheel reported then that it is made by Don Pepín García at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed leaf, which Cigar Aficionado says comes from the middle of the plant, over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. halfwheel's launch report listed notes of earth, leather and nuts.

What to pour with Revelation

We found no drink pairing from Ashton for Revelation, so this is our house suggestion from the bar: a 90-proof wheated bourbon or an aged rum. More in the cigar and whiskey pairing guide.
