Cohiba Nicaragua was the first Cohiba made in Nicaragua: before it, Cigar Aficionado reported, General Cigar made all of its Cohibas in the Dominican Republic. It debuted at the 2014 IPCPR trade show and shipped in October 2014, made at the STG Estelí factory in Nicaragua. The name says Nicaragua, but the wrapper is Honduran: halfwheel lists a Honduran Jamastran Colorado Oscuro and Cigar Aficionado a Honduran sun-grown leaf, over a Nicaraguan binder from Jalapa and filler from Estelí. Cigar Aficionado has rated it medium to full.

About Cohiba Nicaragua
The 2014 sizes carried an N in their names: the N45, the N50 En Crystale in a glass tube, the N54 and the N60. The Pequeños tin followed in 2016. Like every Cohiba we sell, it is a non-Cuban, General Cigar Cohiba.

What to pour with Cohiba Nicaragua
From our bar, our house suggestion: a medium to full Nicaraguan-filled cigar wants a caramel-forward bourbon or a rye. More in the bourbon and cigar pairing guide.
