The Happy Ending is a 5 1/2 x 53 tapered perfecto, a shape made for Rare Pink rather than borrowed from the Hemingway line. Cigar Aficionado rated it 93 points and named it No. 10 of its Top 25 cigars of 2021, opening with earth, hazelnut and coffee.
Rare Pink is Arturo Fuente's Vintage 1960's series, blended by Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr. and named for the 1960s that shaped him; he has called it one of the company's most sought-after extensions. His daughter, Liana Fuente, championed the project, and a portion of the proceeds from every box goes to breast cancer research, which is why the boxes are pink. Every size is a hand-rolled figurado with an Ecuadorian wrapper from the Oliva Tobacco Co. over a Dominican binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, made at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic. Cigar Aficionado calls it stronger and more robust than the Cameroon-wrapped Hemingway.
