Cohiba Rubicon is the U.S.-market Cohiba that General Cigar launched in August 2025. Cigar Aficionado says it is "Made in Honduras at the HATSA factory," which Cigar Coop places in Danlí. Cohiba calls it "a medium-bodied cigar," and Cigar Aficionado noted its "bright orange bands."

About Cohiba Rubicon Cigars
It is not a Cuban cigar. Since February 2, 2026, U.S.-market Cohiba has been sold by Forged Cigar Co., a Scandinavian Tobacco Group company (halfwheel; Cigar Coop); before that, General Cigar, also part of the group, distributed it (Cigar Aficionado). Cigar Aficionado says the Cuban company Cubatabaco "owns the Cohiba name and the rights to market Cohiba internationally." Our guide explains why Cuban cigars are illegal in the U.S.
Cohiba Rubicon blend and sizes
Cohiba lists an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a U.S. Broadleaf binder (Cigar Aficionado says Connecticut Broadleaf), and filler of Dominican Piloto, Honduran La Entrada and Jamastran, and Nicaraguan Estelí tobacco.

What to pour with Cohiba Rubicon
We found no pairing from Cohiba. From our bar, our house suggestion: a medium cigar like this sits well beside a caramel-forward bourbon or a reposado tequila. More in the bourbon and cigar pairing guide.
