Ashton Cigars
Robert Levin grew up in his father's Philadelphia shop, Holt's Cigar Co., which his father bought in 1957, and Ashton says he debuted the brand in 1985. Ashton says its cigars are handmade by the Fuente family at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic, the factory that also makes Fuente Fuente OpusX. In a 2003 Cigar Aficionado interview, Levin recalls reinventing Ashton with Carlito Fuente in 1989.
