For twenty years, Las Vegas had a cigar of its own. Casa Fuente is the cigar Arturo Fuente made for the Casa Fuente store at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, which opened in 2005 and closed in October 2025; Fuente has never published the blend. halfwheel reported in September 2025 that Fuente has kept sending limited Casa Fuente shipments to stores around the country since 2021, which is why sizes still turn up outside Las Vegas from time to time.

Desert air and your cigars

Las Vegas and Yuma share the same problem: dry desert air pulls moisture out of a cigar left in the open. Boveda describes its packs as two-way humidity control, adding moisture when the air is dry and absorbing it when it is damp, and advises keeping cigars between 65% and 72% relative humidity. Our house suggestions from the Yuma humidor: keep cigars sealed with their Boveda pack the day they arrive, check the pack every few weeks in summer, and keep the humidor out of the sun and away from vents.
