The El Septimo Spain Rioja is a 5 by 54 robusto from the Culinary Art Collection, a range blended from five-year-old tobaccos. Its filler from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Brazil is matured in Rioja wine barrels over a 2004 Ecuadorian Habano binder. Full-bodied, it carries spice and oak from the barrel with echoes of berry, plum, vanilla, leather and herb.
It is the collection's nod to Tempranillo and the most robust of the wine-barrel trio. At Sun of a Gun it pairs with a Spanish red, an oloroso sherry or a rye. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 20.
