- The everyday robusto: the 5 x 50 Bully. More on robusto cigars.
- Long and slim: the 6½ x 44 Cedro Deluxe No. 1, a lonsdale wrapped in a cedar sleeve that adds a light aroma.
- The widest and slowest: the 6 x 60 Magnum. More on gordo cigars.

1875, Reserva Real or Midnight Twist?
Romeo y Julieta's U.S. lines differ mostly in the wrapper, and the wrapper sets the tone.
- 1875: an Indonesian TBN wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler. Smooth and medium-bodied, in Altadis's words.
- Reserva Real: a blonde Connecticut-seed shade wrapper grown in Ecuador, over a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. Altadis calls it slightly mellow and woodsy.
- Reserva Real Nicaragua Midnight Twist: all Nicaraguan, with two wrapper leaves twisted together. Medium to full, with cedar, spice and cashew, per Altadis.
- Reserve: a separate line made in Honduras at La Flor de Copán, full-bodied; our Reserve Toro is 6 x 56.
Altadis also makes an 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua, a separate Nicaraguan blend that we don't list online. Every Romeo y Julieta we carry is on Romeo y Julieta Cigars, and our Romeo y Julieta guide compares the lines in more depth.
What to pour with an 1875
Our cigar and whiskey pairing guide keeps a simple house rule: mild with mild, medium with medium, full with full. With a medium cigar like the 1875, it suggests a whiskey in the 80s or low 90s proof, so neither the cigar nor the pour covers the other. In the lounge, ask the bar for a pour from the spirits menu.
Keeping 1875 cigars fresh
Store them at a steady 65 to 70 percent relative humidity, in a humidor or a sealed bag with a two-way humidity pack. Leave the Cedro Deluxe in its cedar sleeve until you smoke it. Every order ships with a Boveda humidity pack, and our cigar storage guide covers the rest.
