Alfonso Añejos No. 3 Toro Tubes is the 6 x 54 toro from the Alfonso Añejos line, sealed in its own tube.

Alfonso Añejos is made by Selected Tobacco, the Costa Rican house founded by Nelson Alfonso, the Havana-born designer credited with the Cohiba Behike branding, and the brand carries his family name. It is rolled at Tabacos de Costa Rica in Santiago de Puriscal. Previewed at the 2022 PCA trade show, it began shipping in late September 2022 as the first Alfonso line in the United States; many US retailers call it Alfonso Extra Añejo. Nelson Alfonso has described it as a hybrid of his Atabey and Byron lines. The first US release came from 2017 production: five years of rest in cedar rooms, then a final stage in rooms lined with French oak. “Cedar is to cigars as oak is to wine,” he has said.

Selected Tobacco packs the Añejos tubes three to a carton, each carton printed with its size number and the maker's series name, “Producción Limitada.”

The No. 3 is the 6 x 54 toro. halfwheel scored it 92 in 2022, called it mild to medium with cedar, lemongrass and peanut butter, and ranked it first in its Top 25 of 2022, noting the best construction score of any cigar on the list.
