Ardbeg Corryvreckan Scotch Whisky takes its name from the Corryvreckan whirlpool north of Islay and Jura. This Islay single malt from Ardbeg Distillery carries no age statement, draws on ex-bourbon American oak and new French oak casks, and is bottled without chill filtration at 57.1% ABV (114.2 proof).

Waxy dark chocolate, blackcurrant, muscovado sugar and pine needles set the tone. The palate turns to peppered steak, espresso, melted dark fruits and bitter almond, and the finish is long and powerful, with tarry coffee, chocolate cherries and hot pepper.
