Atabey Hechizos Petit Corona Tubes is the 4 x 40 petit corona from the Atabey line, sealed in its own tube.
Atabey is made by Selected Tobacco, the Costa Rican house led by Nelson Alfonso, the designer credited with the Cohiba Behike branding, and it is rolled at Tabacos de Costa Rica in Santiago de Puriscal. The line debuted at the 2012 IPCPR trade show, and its name honors Atabey, the supreme goddess of the Taíno people. Selected Tobacco says each cigar rests another five years after it is rolled, aged with cedar from five countries before release.
Atabey's tubes are packed three to a carton printed “3 TUBES”; Selected Tobacco itself says “tubes,” not “tubos.”
The Hechizos is the smallest Atabey, a 4 x 40 petit corona added in July 2018 as the line's twelfth size. halfwheel scored it 87 and found pepper, molasses sweetness and cream; The Cigar Authority, a retailer, gave it 100.

What does Atabey taste like? Selected Tobacco has not published tasting notes we could confirm. Critics describe cream, cedar, coffee, toast and white pepper: halfwheel found sweet cream, espresso and cedar in the Spiritus, and Cigar Coop found wood, straw, berry and brown sugar in the Ritos.
How are Atabey tubes packed? Three tubes to a carton printed “3 TUBES.” We sell them by the carton of three.
