AVO began in 1987, when jazz pianist Avo Uvezian worked with Hendrik "Henke" Kelner, later Davidoff's longtime master blender, on a cigar first sold in Puerto Rico as Bolero and renamed AVO in 1988; Davidoff has distributed the brand since 1995. The Classic, the first AVO line, pairs an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper with Dominican binder and filler, rolled at the OK Cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.
The No. 6 is the Classic line's 6 x 60 gran toro, and Davidoff says its 60 ring gauge gives a rich and creamy smoke. We also carry the Robusto, the No. 2 and the No. 3.
