Baker's 7 Year High Rye Bourbon
Baker's 7 Year High Rye Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, made with a mash bill that carries more rye than the traditional Baker's recipe. It is aged a minimum of seven years and bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV).
The whiskey belongs to the Baker's single barrel collection, in which every barrel is tested and only those that meet the standard are bottled. Charred oak, vanilla, caramel and dried fruit mark the nose. The palate returns to charred oak, with brown, confection-like sweetness and a subtle rye spice, and the full-bodied finish carries a hint of baking spice.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
