Basil Hayden 10 Year Bourbon takes the same high-rye recipe as the flagship Basil Hayden and gives it extended time in newly charred American oak barrels: ten years in all. This Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

It is an annual limited release, one the brand says comes around only once a year. Big oak, a hint of char, vanilla and rye form the nose. The palate balances oak with caramel sweetness and rye spice, and the finish is lightly smoky, with a subtle trace of char.
