John J. Bowman Single Barrel Bourbon

John J. Bowman Single Barrel Bourbon is a Virginia straight bourbon from A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg, bottled at 100 proof. Every bottling comes from a single barrel, hand-selected from some of the oldest barrels in the warehouse.

The whiskey carries the name of John J. Bowman, whom the distillery describes as the great-great uncle of its founder, Abram S. Bowman. Toffee and leather open in the glass, then give way to figs and almonds.
