The distillery, which dates to the 19th century, stands on Islay's northeastern shore beside the Sound of Islay, and the brand describes it as the Islay home of Johnnie Walker.

Fresh and restrained, the nose shows subdued citrus fruit, a note of bath oil and only a little smoke. The palate starts sweet and carries a light, fragrant smoke, and the finish lingers on sweet smoke with a slightly sour edge.
