Caposaldo Moscato is a sweet, lightly sparkling Moscato from the Provincia di Pavia in Lombardy, northern Italy. It is made entirely from Moscato Bianco grown on 20-year-old vines in low-yielding hillside vineyards with white marl and chalk soils. The grapes are handpicked and fermented at controlled temperature, which gives the wine a fine, persistent effervescence.

The importer describes a bright golden yellow wine with an assertive bouquet of exotic fruit and spice aromas, and a fresh, vivacious and highly polished palate. It suggests serving the wine with fresh fruits, fruit pies and tarts.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass and offer it by the bottle. Our cellar changes as bottles are opened and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
