Craftsman's Bench 54 Ring Gauge Double Blade Cigar Cutter
The original Craftsman's Bench double blade cutter from J.C. Newman, sized for cigars up to 54 ring gauge. Two stainless steel blades close on the cap from both sides at once, so pressure is applied evenly and the cut stays clean. It is the plain black workhorse that has lived in shirt pockets and humidor drawers for two decades.
This is the cutter we hand across the bar for a corona, robusto or toro, which covers most of the boxes on our shelves. Keep one in the car and one in the humidor; it asks nothing of you but a clean, decisive close.
