The Davidoff Maduro Short Corona is a 4 x 43 short corona with a dark Ecuadorian maduro wrapper, made at Cigars Davidoff in the Dominican Republic and sold by the single, the 5-pack or the box of 20 at Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits, an official J.C. Newman Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge in Yuma, Arizona.
Davidoff first made a Maduro from 2008 to 2016, then brought the name back in April 2024 with a new blend, a new look and limited production. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Corte #7 leaf, a higher priming that grows near the top of the plant and takes more sun. Davidoff fermented it for 16 months, about twice its usual cycle, without added heat, then aged it in bales for two more years. It covers a Mexican binder and Dominican filler. The line comes in three sizes, Short Corona, Robusto and Toro, each in boxes of 20. The Short Corona is the smallest of the three sizes, a 4 x 43 that Davidoff times at 25 to 40 minutes.
