Diplomatico Planas Rum is an aged white rum from Destilerías Unidas in La Miel, Venezuela, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof).

Planas is a white rum with time in its past: it is aged first, then charcoal-filtered, which brings it to a clear color while it keeps its depth of flavor.

Ground coffee, coconut and tropical fruit make up the nose. The palate is fruity and silky, and the finish is delicate yet pronounced.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
