El Jolgorio Tepeztate Tiachica Mezcal
El Jolgorio Tepeztate Tiachica Mezcal is a mezcal artesanal from Oaxaca, distilled from wild tepeztate (Agave marmorata) by El Jolgorio, the Cortés family's collective of mezcal makers.
Tepeztate grows only in the wild, often clinging to steep cliffs, and takes roughly 25 to 35 years to mature. El Jolgorio lots of this agave have come from several mezcaleros and villages across Oaxaca, and every bottle is hand-marked with its producer, village, agave age and bottle count. Strength varies from lot to lot.
