Fonseca 40 Year Old Tawny Port is an aged tawny Port from Fonseca, the Port house founded in 1815. It is made from grapes grown in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior and blended from wines aged an average of 40 years in neutral oak. The varieties are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Tinta Amarela, and the winemaker is David Guimaraens.

The house tasting note describes the old olive-gold hue of many years in cask, impressions of clove, nutmeg and an intense nuttiness on both the bouquet and the palate, and a sweet, lush, almost viscous texture that ends in a finish of great length.

At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass and offer it by the bottle. Our cellar changes as bottles are opened and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
