Frangelico Hazelnut is a hazelnut liqueur from Piedmont, Italy, bottled at 20% ABV (40 proof). Its heart is the Tonda Gentile hazelnut of Piedmont, toasted and then distilled.

That distillate is blended with cocoa, coffee and vanilla to a secret recipe, one said to be about 300 years old. The name recalls Fra Angelico, a hermit monk. On the palate, toasted hazelnut leads, with cocoa, coffee and vanilla close behind, and the finish is smooth and aromatic.
