Garrison Brothers Small Batch Bourbon
Garrison Brothers Small Batch Bourbon is a Texas straight bourbon made at Garrison Brothers Distillery on a 68-acre ranch in Hye, where milling, cooking, distilling, barreling and aging all take place. It matures in new American white oak through the Texas Hill Country heat and is bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV).
The sweet mash combines #1 food-grade corn with wheat and barley, and each bottle is corked, wrapped in deerskin lace and dipped in hot wax. Honeyed apple, verbena and fresh-cut grass open the nose over saddle leather and cinnamon. Orange hard candy, lemon gumdrop, pound cake and sugar cookie shape the palate with a touch of smoky spice, leading to a long finish of smoky tobacco, caramel apple, walnut and cinnamon.
