GlenDronach 18 Year Scotch Whisky
GlenDronach 18 Year Scotch Whisky spends eighteen years in Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia, Spain, before bottling at 46% ABV (92 proof). It is a Highland single malt from The GlenDronach Distillery.
The distillery was founded in 1826 by James Allardes, a name often written Allardice, and sits near Forgue, by Huntly, in Aberdeenshire.
Fudge, dark muscovado sugar, fruit compote and morello cherries fill the nose. Stewed fruits, allspice, Oloroso, toasted walnut bread and chocolate orange follow on the palate, leading to a long, lingering finish.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
