Glenlivet 12 Year Scotch Whisky
Glenlivet 12 Year Scotch Whisky, now labeled Aged 12 Years, Double Oak, is a Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, matured in American and European oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
George Smith founded the distillery in 1824 and was the first distiller in Scotland to take out a license under the 1823 Excise Act. It sits near Ballindalloch, Moray, drawing water from Josie's Well and local springs.
Banana, pineapple and a summer-meadow freshness open the nose. Peaches, pears, vanilla and toffee follow on the palate, and the finish is smooth, gentle and long.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
