Glenlivet 14 Year Cognac Cask Selection Scotch Whisky
Glenlivet 14 Year Cognac Cask Selection Scotch Whisky rests for at least six months in ex-Cognac casks after maturing in American oak bourbon casks and sherry casks. The fourteen-year-old Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
The distillery, near Ballindalloch in Moray, was founded in 1824 by George Smith, the first distiller in Scotland to take out a license under the 1823 Excise Act.
The nose is fruity with subtle spice. Poached pears, mandarins in syrup and chocolate-coated raisins fill the palate, and the finish is smooth and luscious.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
